Terms of Service

DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. This document is a starting point. Before going public with real users beyond a small test group, have it reviewed by a qualified Dutch lawyer.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Crew Lounge ("the app", "we", "us"), an independent personal project operated by Tony Wilffert, based in the Netherlands. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Not affiliated with KLM

Crew Lounge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines or any other airline. It is an independent personal project. The use of "@klm.com" email addresses for account creation is solely to verify that users are airline crew, and the app does not connect to any KLM internal systems beyond fetching the publicly-accessible iCal calendar feed that you provide.

3. Eligibility

To use Crew Lounge you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a current airline crew member with a valid @klm.com email address
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

4. Your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure and not sharing your account
• All activity that happens under your account
• The accuracy of the information you provide
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, behave abusively, or are used for purposes inconsistent with the app's intent.

5. Acceptable use

When using Crew Lounge, you agree NOT to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Post content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the app's systems
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute other users' personal data
• Use the app to compete with KLM or any airline, or to leak confidential airline information
• Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the app

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Schedule data

Crew Lounge displays layover information based on the iCal calendar you provide and any manual entries you create. You are responsible for the accuracy of this data. Crew Lounge is not an official rostering system and should not be relied on for operational decisions. Always check your official KLM crew portal for authoritative scheduling information.

7. User-generated content

You retain ownership of any content you create in the app (tips, profile information, manually-added layovers). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the app to other users as designed by the app's features.

You are responsible for the content you post. Do not share confidential airline information, personal data of others without consent, or anything that could harm KLM's operations or reputation.

8. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.

9. Service availability

Crew Lounge is provided "as is" and "as available". As an independent personal project, we make no guarantees about:

• Uptime or availability
• Accuracy or completeness of any data shown
• Compatibility with any specific device or browser
• Continued operation of the service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crew Lounge and its operator are not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or opportunities
• Errors in schedule data or notifications
• Decisions you make based on information shown in the app
• Issues caused by the iCal calendar provider or any sub-processor

Use of the app is at your own risk.

11. Intellectual property

The app's design, code, and branding are owned by the operator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app without permission.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you violate these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to you via the app or by email. Your continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam.
